Samitha Perera, the Immediate Past President of the island’s premier professional body in HRM, the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) Sri Lanka, has been invited as a resource person at the 33rd NIPM Annual National Conference 2014, which is to be held on September 12 and 13, 2014.
This Conference is to be held at the Science City Auditorium, Kolkata, hosted by the Kolkata Chapter of National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM). The Theme of the Conference is “EMERGING BUSINESS ISSUES- HR DYNAMICS AND INITIATIVES.”
This flagship event of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), is its Annual Management Convention and in fact at any given year on average, over 1000 delegates participate at this Convention from all over the country and Asia Pacific Regions.
A delegation comprising 12 Human Resource Management (HRM) professionals, who are members of the IPM Sri Lanka, will also participate at 33rd NIPM Annual National Conference 2014 as part of the member exchange program under the MOU between IPM and NIPM.
Significantly, the President of India, Shri PranabKumar Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest of the aforementioned conference.
The IPM Sri Lanka is renowned not only for its high ranking professional education programmes but also for its interaction and relationship with global and regional professional associations that benefits its Members, students and other stakeholders in a myriad ways. Being a member of APFHRM, IPM maintains a close relationship with APFHRM’s member organizations and has also been identified as a significant professional body amongst them.
Whilst congratulating Immediate Past President Samitha Perera, the current President of IPM, Rohitha Amarapala mentioned that IPM would reap the best out of this opportunity to give a wider exposure to the institute and in the South Asian Region.
